Former grazing meadows alongside the Stebbing Brook that have been planted up with native trees – oak, hornbeam and field maple up on the slopes; ash, alder and willow in the damper area; hazel and dogwood alongside the paths. Marshy areas and clearings beside the brook have been left open.

Visiting

On the B1057 about midway between Great Dunmow and Great Bardfield. Main entrance via a private road and public footpath to Lashley Hall between Bran End and Duck End. (Car park very wet in winter so park on the B1057 verge at the junction.)

Accessible at all times.
